Sustainability in fashion-industry focus of 4th edition ‘Keys to Success’

The networking event ‘Keys to Success’ takes place on Monday 27th January, during the Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam. The focus of this fourth edition is sustainability and the need to develop business models to anticipate changes in the fashion industry. In Keys to Success, FashionWeek Nederland highlights the business side of fashion and it challenges fashion professionals to join forces to realise the opportunities.

The speakers at Keys to Success represent the diversity of the Dutch fashion industry and they will talk about their dilemmas and choices concerning sustainability and business. Brigitte de Wilde, CEO and co-owner of fashion label Cora Kemperman, shows that with 'slow fashion' sustainability and affordable fashion go well together. Carlien Helmink, who was the winner of The Green Fashion Competition in 2012, will speak as co-owner of Studio Jux about how their brand set up its own factory in Nepal and about the way in which she combines business objectives with development work. Sofie Schop, senior CSR consultant at Schuttelaar & Partners, presents a tool guide which she developed with ABN AMRO, which enables fashion entrepreneurs to improve the sustainability of their own business model. The programme will be moderated by social entrepreneur Natasja van den Berg. The afternoon concludes with a visit to dennis diems’ catwalk show, currently one of the most talked about Dutch fashion designers.

Keys to Success part of ongoing programme Fashion in Business

FashionWeek Nederland is organising the event Keys to Success as part of its ongoing programme 'Fashion in Business', that is specifically aimed at professionals from fashion and related industries, who are united in the 'Fashion in Business Network’. In this way FashionWeek Nederland organised, for example, the event ‘the Future of Fashion’(video) during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven in October 2013.

Keys to Success will take place on Monday, January 27th from 14:30 to 19:00 at the Cutuurpark Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. Tickets cost € 125 (excl. VAT) and can be ordered via Admission is free for members of Fashion in Business Network.
